Dr. Berry was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. While in New York, he attended Union College in Schenectady. He also attended Downstate Medical Center and then did his Internship and first year Residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. He completed his second year Residency at Bauer St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, California.

In 1980, Doctor Berry moved to Bakersfield, California to establish his Rheumatology practice. He is married and has one grown daughter who is also in the healthcare field. He has served on many medical committes and has served as a medical advisor to many pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He has authored a Chapter in an Arthritis Textbook.
Dr. Berry has served on the Board of Directors of the Kern County Medical Society and the California Rheumatology Alliance.
He has been a member of the Medical and Scientific Committee of Southern California Arthritis Foundation. He attended the United States President's dinner in Washington, D.C. and met with Congressmen and various House Subcommittees regarding Medicare legislation. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the California Rheumatology Alliance and the American Medical Association.
Through his years, Dr. Berry has been very involved in the community and has received numerous awards for his personal efforts.
He has recently moved to Avila Beach, CA and is enjoying becoming familiar with his new community where he sees patients in San Luis Obispo, CA one or two days a week while he continues to see his patients in Bakersfield two days a week. He is very much enjoying practicing in two communities. He also is enjoying his volunteer work at a clinic in Nipomo.
